CHEF DE CUISINE

Dana Younkin hails from St. Paul, Minnesota. Her culinary journey began when she was fifteen years old and would help her mother at their family-owned café, Swede Hollow. After moving away from the kitchen to study anthropology at Wheaton College, she returned to her culinary roots by attending the culinary arts program at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Upon graduating from CCA, and working in some of the City’s top restaurants, she was fortunate to meet her future boss and mentor, Chef Nancy Oakes. Dana has worked her way through the ranks at Boulevard to be the evening Chef de Cuisine. Dana is grateful to her mother for teaching her to use her palate and to Chef Oakes for elevating her fundamental skills to a professional capacity.
